Case Study #18 : Petroleum
J&A funded a multi-state petroleum project that took over a year to complete in one schedule with little or no interest charges. The equipment consisted of upgrades to their gas stations, which included pumps, POS systems, C-store fixtures and software.
We funded a complex transaction for a mid-size petroleum company in the Midwest. The unique aspect about this transaction was that most of the equipment had already been paid for and installed prior to funding. The project had a long installation period as well, which obviously complicated the transaction. Our client preferred to pay all its vendors directly and then fund on one schedule. Despite the unique nature of the lease, we were able to accommodate the customer’s wishes and avoid any sales tax issues.
